Adventure 6: Geralt's Task

Mike as Z - the swashbuckling scoundrel [only MOSTLY dead, which is partly alive]

Stephen as Geralt Darkstar - the pirate alchemist

Standing over the pile of newly redead corpses as well as his trusted ally Z, Geralt did not hesitate for a moment. Recalling the knowledge of a blood ritual he had once read about while studying alchemy, he immediately set to work preparing the ritual to reclaim Z's soul from the Wraithlands.

Sacrificing himself, he carved the symbols into his out body to create the link between his body and the Wraithlands. He was plunged into darkness as the life left his body temporarily. He awake standing at the Black Gates and immediately charged through them by force. After blasting his way past he was faced with the Endless War Camp, the staging ground for the inevitable war between the light and darkness that will come at the end of existence.

Geralt traded the shrinking bottle with a junk demon for a map through the camp. On the other side he climbed the Mountain of Bone, fighting through the ghouls, saving a trapped innocent soul that was being torn apart by the ghouls, and arriving at the River of Lost souls. He traded half his worldly fortune to book passage with the ferryman to cross the river safely.

On the other side had the Crystal of Souls, where the souls are purified before becoming part of the crystal that powers the Wraithlands. Geralt found Z in a prison of eternal damnation suffering for his worldly indulgences.

Geralt bargained with the demonlord, the Devourer of Souls, for Z's life. Offering his to enter the service of the demonlord in exchange for his friends life. The demonlord accepted the bargain and banished them both from the Wraithlands.

Upon returning to life, they both found themselves changed. Having paid the price for their time in the Wraithlands with their part of their mortal souls. Z became eternally damned, and now needs the blood of a living victim to regain health. He also now has a strong weakness to silver, fire, and sacred objects. Geralt can no longer eat normally, but must consume the foods essence and sleep the sleep of the dead if he wishes to gain health back.

How will their new powers affect their quest to save Geralt's lost love and stop the cult? Will they expose their demonic powers to the world and risk persecution or will they keep them secret?
